Ros contributed to a number of events at COP26 and was delighted to join this online conversation hosted by local government consultants Cratus and environmental and engineering consultants Stantec.

After briefly outlining her personal journey from being a climate researcher to leading the Walker Institute, Ros explains how the Institute is working to deliver its ambitious goals, emphasising the importance of interdisciplinary working and engaging with people impacted by climate change. Ros also highlights recent increases in positive engagement from the private sector.  She explains the importance of the growing potential to accelerate progress towards climate goals with smart public/private partnerships building on each other’s strengths to efficiently translate science through to solutions on the ground.  A case in point is the Walker Institute’s new collaboration with Microsoft UK.
