The Walker Institute is pleased to be working together with Evidence for Development (EfD) and other leading institutes in the UK and Africa on HyCRISTAL, a Future Climate for Africa project.
HyCRISTAL is a multi-disciplinary study aimed to improve projections of the effects of climate change on rural livelihoods and urban infrastructure in the Lake Victoria basin, upgrading the evidence base for regional policy development.
In July this year, a Walker Institute and EfD team travelled to Uganda. For the first in a series of studies, the aim was to explore the capacity of different groups in the community to adapt in the face of rapidly changing social and environmental conditions.
