Professor Ros Cornforth, Director of the Walker Institute was invited to speak at the Women of the World Festival, the world's largest cultural festival network of it's kind.
Held over March 7-12, including International Women's Day, at Southbank, London. WOW – Women of the World festival champions gender equality, celebrating the achievements of women and girls everywhere and examining the obstacles that keep them from fulfilling their potential.
Ros talked about her experiences of being at the forefront of sustainability and environmental policy and the role of gender equality in action against climate change in the panel 'One Planet, Double Standards' on Friday March 10.
“We have had such a positive response to the panel - it was packed!... Thank you for sharing your time, stories and expertise with us. I'm hoping to expand the theme of how women affected by climate change even more as part of WOW next year so I hope you don't mind if I get in touch for advice in the near future!”
