Director, Africa Climate Exchange (AfClix) progamme with proven leadership expertise working on the ground in Africa designing and implementing large-scale interdisciplinary-multi-partner projects around managing for climate resilience. Knowledge Exchange expertise and proven experience in networking and advocacy in a multicultural setting involving diverse development and policy actors, in facilitating multistakeholder workshops, and implementing participatory learning methodologies. Broad experience in linking Science-Policy-Practice through AfClix and as a Scientific Steering Group member on several international programmes for the UN and as a Consultant to the DfID Africa Regional Team to advise on the development of new climate and development programmes. Track record of peer reviewed single and multi-disciplinary research papers on e.g. improving understanding of the fundamental dynamics of African weather systems, downstream tropical cyclogenesis, the attribution of extreme weather events, communication of climate science and the design and implementation of early warning systems.
