We are excited to share the Future Climate for Africa (FCFA) Country and Research Consortium Briefs. A collection of briefs providing a summary of the context within which each consortium worked and the main approaches implemented in each. In addition, the country briefs provide a summary of FCFA’s in-country work and the approaches being implemented to promote the uptake and use of climate information into decision-making spaces in each country.
As part of the FCFA HyCRISTAL Project, researchers at the Walker Institute contributed to the Uganda and Kenya Country Profiles, however, the rest of the collection can be found here.
FCFA aims to generate fundamentally new climate science focused on Africa, and to ensure that this science has an impact on human development across the continent. Through various pilot projects, FCFA’s regional research teams implemented a range of novel approaches to co-produce climate information to support climate smart decision-making across a range of key sectors.
